Bikolano myths paint the Magindara in extremes; they are either said to be guardian deities of Bikolano fishermen, or “aswang ng dagat” who will eat adult humans but do not harm children.

The "Sirena" is a mythological sea creature from Filipino culture which was introduced by the Spanish in the late Spanish Era in Philippine history.

 

Unlike Sirens of Greek mythology which is depicted as women bird-like creature. "Sirenas" are often portrayed as mermaid-like creatures who lives under the sea having a head and torso of a woman and with a tail of a fish.

From our survey, we found out that most of our responders  are from the senior high, mainly grade 11 students.

From those questions, we discovered most our respondents are interested in knowing about mermaids and that they see them as allies than threat.
